Twenty four people have died in Los Angeles wildfires, 16 of them in the Eaton fire. But strong winds are only going to make things worse for firefighters, who are making progress.
The Palisades fire is 13 percent contained and the Eaton fire is 27 percent contained. Some 100,000 residents are under evacuation orders.
Strong winds expected through Wednesday have prompted a rare red flag warning for further fire spread.
Nearly 40,000 acres have burned, destroying some 12,000 structures. At least 16 people are still missing. The blazes are still being fought by firefighters.
